The Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the framework of extroversion and “opening” actions to the High School students of Central Macedonia Region, organized and implemented, for the third consecutive year, the event ” Faculty of Engineering Days” on Thursday, November 28, 2024, 09:30-13:00.
The aim of the event was the global acquaintance of students with the Schools of the Faculty of Engineering, in terms of studies, study programs and professional perspectives, the physical contact with the spaces and Laboratories and finally, the interaction with students through Student Teams.
The event was attended by a total of 400 students coming from 20 High Schools. It started with a short presentation of the 7 Departments of the School, by professors of the Departments, in the “P. Panagiotopoulos” Amphitheatre, while at the end, questions and answers (q&a) took place.
Afterwards, pre-organized groups of students, followed prepared tours to selected Laboratories (or areas) of various Schools, while those who were waiting for the next tour, had the opportunity to meet with the members of the – particularly dynamic – Student Teams, in the Foyer of the main Building (A) and get to know their work.
Volunteers
The implementation of the event was supported in the best possible way by a total of 26 student volunteers following our open call to the community, as well as by postgraduate students – researchers on behalf of the Laboratories. We thank them especially for their willingness and participation!
